A personal beginning
Gero begins practicing naturism — decades before Nirvana becomes the place it is today.
Nirvana is more than a strip of sand: it is a long-running naturist place shaped by community, respect and a very personal commitment to the culture.
Nirvana Nude Beach is a dedicated naturist place on the Black Sea coast near Varna. The beach has been run by Galin Gertchev — known as Gero — since taking the concession in 2016.
Gero has practiced naturism since 1986 and serves as chairman of the Bulgarian Naturist Federation. That history matters: the identity of Nirvana is not about provocation, but about making nudity ordinary, comfortable and respectful.
The atmosphere is intentionally simple: sea, sun, a beach bar, familiar faces and room for newcomers to discover naturism at their own pace.

The beach comes under Gero's concession and develops into a stable naturist destination.
A place where long-time naturists and curious first-time visitors share the same coast.
